This was achieved by using a thicker 1mm solid center conductor and a tighter braid with an additional layer of aluminium foil. RG58/U product is perfect in connecting various RF, WIFI or mobile equipment up to 10-15 meters away and CB radio equipment up to 20-25 meters away.How is the RG58/U low loss figures achieved?This is achieved due to the cable construction specifications. The center conductor uses a high conductivity, Solid Bare copper conductor material. The dielectric is gas injected, foamed Polyethylene which helps achieve up to 82% Velocity of Propagation. The Dielectric has a Aluminum foil outer conductor, which is chemically bonded on to it. Due to the cable construction, the attenuation is significantly lower as compared to single shielded coaxial cables: RF shielding of our RG58/U is >80 dB as compared to 20-30 dB for regular RG58.Outer SheathRG58/U coaxial cable comes with a UV resistant, flexible PVC sheath.
