The cellular interface delivers LTE Cat 4 speeds of up to 150 Mbps and also supports 3G and 2G connectivity. Two SIM cards provide connection redundancy through automatic failover, with switching triggered by conditions such as weak signal, roaming, loss of network availability, rejected network access, data connection failure, or configured data and SMS limits. Bridge mode can establish a direct connection between the mobile ISP and a device on the LAN, while band locking and current-band status provide additional control over mobile connectivity.The WiFi interface operates in Access Point or Station mode and supports IEEE 802.11b/g/n, with up to 100 simultaneous connections. WPA2-Enterprise, WPA2-PSK, WPA-PSK, WEP, MAC filtering, client separation, hidden SSID operation, and MAC-based access control provide multiple options for controlling wireless access. A captive portal with an internal or external RADIUS server and a customizable landing page is also available. Wired connectivity consists of one configurable 10/100 Mbps WAN port and three 10/100 Mbps LAN ports, with the WAN interface also configurable as LAN. Power can be supplied through Passive PoE on the LAN port or through the internal 4-pin DC connector, which accepts 9–30 VDC. The router is specified for operation from -40°C to 75°C.Network ManagementQuRouter 950S combines routing, traffic control, security, and connection-resilience functions for managed networks. Static routing is included, while BGP, OSPF v2, and RIP v1/v2 are available as optional dynamic routing functions. Mobile and wired WAN connections can be used with automatic failover, and load balancing can distribute Internet traffic across multiple WAN links. QoS can prioritize traffic according to source or destination, service, protocol, or port. Firewall functions include port forwarding, traffic rules, custom rules, DMZ, NAT, and NAT-T, complemented by protection against SYN floods, selected SSH and HTTP/HTTPS attacks, and several port-scanning methods. VLAN separation can be configured by port or tag, while web filtering, MAC filtering, and access control provide additional ways to restrict network traffic and website access.Encrypted connectivity is available through OpenVPN, IPsec, GRE, PPTP, L2TP, Stunnel, and SSTP, with multiple OpenVPN clients and a server able to operate simultaneously. Administration and monitoring can be handled through the WebUI, FOTA, SNMP, JSON-RPC, MQTT, SMS functions, and Teltonika RMS, with RMS also supporting firmware and configuration updates across multiple devices. Firmware can be updated while retaining the current configuration. Modbus TCP master and slave operation extends integration options, while one digital input and one digital output can generate events through SMS, Email, or RMS. RutOS, based on OpenWrt Linux, also supports Busybox shell, Lua, C, and C++, with an SDK package available for development.
